Chicken Taco Casserole Recipe

Ingredients

– 3 cups cooked shredded chicken – 1 packet taco seasoning – 1 cup salsa – 1 cup sour cream – 1 can (10 oz) cream of chicken soup – 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese – 2 cups crushed tortilla chips – Optional: sliced olives, jalapeños, green onions for garnish

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 350°F. In a large mixing bowl, combine shredded chicken with taco seasoning and salsa until fully coated.

Stir in the sour cream and cream of chicken soup. Mix well until everything is evenly blended into a creamy, flavorful chicken mixture.

Lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish. Spread a layer of crushed tortilla chips along the bottom to form a crunchy casserole base.

Spoon half the chicken mixture over the chips. Spread evenly, then sprinkle 1 cup of cheddar cheese on top to start the cheesy layers.

Add another layer of crushed chips, the remaining chicken mixture, and finish with the rest of the shredded cheddar cheese on top.

Bake uncovered for 25–30 minutes, or until the casserole is hot and bubbly, and the cheese on top is melted and slightly golden.

Let it cool slightly, then garnish with sliced olives, jalapeños, or green onions if desired. Serve warm with extra chips or a side salad.
