2 tbsp almond flour 1 tbsp cocoa powder 1 tbsp keto sweetener 1 tbsp butter (melted) 1 tbsp heavy cream 1 egg 1 square dark chocolate (90%)
In a microwave-safe mug, mix almond flour, cocoa powder, and sweetener. Stir well so the dry ingredients are combined evenly with no lumps.
Add melted butter, heavy cream, and egg to the mug. Stir until you get a smooth batter. The consistency should be rich and chocolatey, not runny.
Press a square of dark chocolate into the center of the batter. Don’t stir it in — this creates the gooey lava center when the cake is cooked.
Microwave on high for 45–60 seconds. The edges should be firm, but the center will stay slightly soft. Don’t overcook or the lava will dry up.
Let it sit for 1 minute. The molten chocolate inside will continue melting slightly as it rests, creating the perfect gooey lava cake texture.
